What about the Foundation?

Foundational to any culture or civilization is the family. As the family goes, so goes the civilization.

The family has been under assault in western civilization for decades and the crumbling effects are being felt as the whole of culture teeters on the brink of collapse. Rescue and recovery is not quick or easy, but those who are concerned, will seek to understand and begin to utilize the blueprint given in Scripture that is the only way to rebuild the foundation.

Over the last several years, the authors of this blog have been studying and understanding all facets of what the Blueprint says, concerning family, its several parts and how it is to function. There is one verse in the Blueprint that serves as a cornerstone for rebuilding the foundation.

But I want you to understand that Messiah is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Messiah.
1 Corinthians 11:3

By this we can clearly see that God has order and from that order we see that man and woman have roles. This blog, 11:3 Restoration, is about the foundation and is based on this cornerstone guideline.

Restoring Kol Israel: ‘Bene Israel’ and Headship

A week ago, in our post titled Restoring Kol Israel: No more male or female?, we made a huge statement that many may have glossed over. Because it is so monumental, we need to go back and parse it with implications spelled out. Here is the quote:

To be clear, Yah is delivering these commands through Moses to the men of the households and it’s the man’s responsibility to teach them and discern correct application for his women.

As demonstrated earlier in the cited post, the Torah commands, over and over, as given by YHVH to Moshe, are specifically addressed to the men. While this understanding is not in conflict with most of Orthodox Judaism, it is a decided cut against the western egalitarianism and feminism that has overrun the church.

To review a couple things very quickly, our heart’s desire is to see kol Israel, all 12 (13) tribes restored. That cannot happen unless the most basic building block is restored. That building block is the man and, if he has one, his family. Call it what you will, manhood, masculinity, patriarchy, etc, the simple fact is that the structure of a nation cannot be assembled from broken or improperly functioning family building blocks. The basis of the entire structure that Yah designed and implemented is focused on the man leading his family. It began in Gan Eden with Adam and Chava.

The everlasting Word!

When this was written, what commandments was the author or Author referring to? Just our verses later:

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5

Maybe it should read, “trust in the Word with all your heart and lean not on your own doctrines.”

The Lord will not violate His Word. His Word reveals Him. When we filter His Word through doctrines and our own understanding, we are no longer trusting Him, rather we are trusting the men that tell us what the Word says.

The Word is simple. His commandments are not burdensome.

Exciting new book: Ten From The Nations

Dr. Rivkah Adler, Ph.D., is about to publish a book that I am very excited about!!

For roughly half of the book, each chapter is a testimony from a broad swath of non-Jews telling their story about how they (we) came to Torah. The balance of the book is Jews who are aware of and facilitating this Torah awakening in a variety of ways. This important work embraces the breadth of this movement towards Torah by Christians who now self-identify as Noahide, or Hebrew roots believers as well as converts to Judaism. Does the coming eclipse portent radical change?

There has been an abundance of media coverage concerning the upcoming eclipse, so I do not want to rehash the blah, blah, blah. Rather, I would like to share two links I found very interesting and then offer a possible scenario that may currently be unfolding…

In the past I have shared a few things from Dr. Dale Sides, a Christian astronomer, who has a very interesting perspective on things in the heavens. The following teaching concerning the eclipse is a MUST SEE as he shares a few significant points nobody else is talking about. After hearing this, I agree with him that the eclipse is meant to point to something else… namely, the events in the heavens at the point of totality. Everyone will watch the eclipse, I will be watching the show behind the eclipse when the lights get dimmed…
