Y’shua said,
‘Whoever keeps and teaches (the Commandments), he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.’ Matthew 5:19b
We live in a time and culture that elevates all manner of men to be ‘heroes.’ We have movies about ‘super-heroes,’ toys called ‘Rescue Heroes,’ and TV shows about ‘Real Life Heroes.’ We are taught to desire to be heroic, or at least look up to those who are… In most cases, the focus is on the ‘hero’ or his/her ‘powers’ and little if any focus is on the Creator of the Universe.
Scripture has a similar message, but goes a step further and tells us exactly HOW to be ‘heroes’… to use that terminology, while keeping the Creator, YHWH, central in our focus. ‘Keep and teach the commandments.’
There is an even clearer passage that I was recently reminded of that spells out for us a couple ‘titles’ we should strive for.
Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
You will raise up the age-old foundations;
And you will be called the repairer of the breach,
The restorer of the paths in which to dwell.13 “If because of the sabbath, you turn your foot
From doing your own pleasure on My holy day,
And call the sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways,
From seeking your own pleasure
And speaking your own word,
14 Then you will take delight in the Lord,
And I will make you ride on the heights of the earth;
And I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father, For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Isaiah 58:12-14
Now that my friends, is a title I want to be referred to by!!
“Look! There. That guy. He is one of the ‘Repairers of the Breach!'”
Or, “Hey, I remember you! You were one of the ‘restorers of the path in which we dwell!'”
Yes, when I stand before Messiah Y’shua, I long to hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You helped to rebuild the ancient ruins. You helped raise up the age old foundations. Enter into the joy of your Y’shua.”
Rebuilding the ancient ruins, raising up the age-old foundations, repairing the breach, restoring the paths on which we dwell… What do all of these refer to?
Thus says the Lord,
“Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths,
Where the good way is, and walk in it;
And you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
17 “And I set watchmen over you, saying,
‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’
But they said, ‘We will not listen.’
18 “Therefore hear, O nations,
And know, O congregation, what is among them.
19 “Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people,The fruit of their plans,
Because they have not listened to My words,
And as for My TORAH, they have rejected it also. Jeremiah 6:16-19
Jeremiah tells us what the ‘good way’ is. It is the ‘ancient paths.’ The TORAH of YHWH!! Sadly, the Torah Christendom has rejected…
Jeremiah also tells us a few chapters later, in an amazing passage about the last days and the restoration after the people of Yahweh have forsaken the Torah,
Yahweh is my strength and my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble.
Nations come to you from the most distant parts of the world
and say, “Our ancestors have inherited lies,
worthless and unprofitable gods.”20 “People can’t make gods for themselves.
They aren’t really gods.
21 That is what I will teach them.
This time I will make my power and my strength known to them.
Then they will know that my name is Yahweh.” Jeremiah 16:10-21 (selected)
The time is now to recognize that we have indeed inherited lies. It is time to repair the breach and return to the ancient paths. Rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the age-old foundations.
- The Sabbath was never done away with by Yahweh. Roman Bishops and Constantine did it!
- The Feasts of Yahweh, commonly and incorrectly called the ‘Jewish Feasts,’ have NOT been set aside or done away with.
- The dietary laws of clean and unclean remain unchanged, just like the loving Creator who gave those commandments.
- Christ-mass is a pagan holiday with pagan origins! Saturnalia. Look it up.
- Easter (Astarte) is a pagan fertility goddess and has NOTHING to do with the Messiah.
- Sun-day worship is rooted in Mithraism and various pagan rites predating Messiah by more than a thousand years. The Sabbath is an unchanged, unchanging, unchangeable creation ordinance.
The words of Y’shua say this,
“truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” Matthew 5:17-20
Christendom would have you believe that not just ‘jots and tittles’ have been done away with. They will tell you that whole chapters are of no consequence. And for that, they may hear,
‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ Matthew 7:21-23
Yahweh, the eternal unchanging Creator says,
Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people,The fruit of their plans,
Because they have not listened to My words,
And as for My TORAH, they have rejected it also. (Previously cited.)
Me? I will repeat what I have already said, “I long to hear Y’shua haMoshiach say, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You helped to rebuild the ancient ruins. You helped raise up the age old foundations. Enter into the joy of your Y’shua.'”
What do you long to hear Him say? Are you DOING the will of the Father?
Shalom!
Loud and clear!!!
