For my regular readers: Talk to me…

I’ve had such a good response from Canada and South Africa, I wanted to open this up to others…

My emailed message to responders from Canada and South Africa is/was:

As you know from reading recent posts on natsab.com, my wife and I are going to Israel for the First Ephramite Northern Israel National Congress. Discussion among a number of us from across the US who are planning to attend has led us to begin meeting with and seeking out the voices of those in our area, so that we can be a voice representing more than ourselves at the Congress.

Currently, I do not know of any delegates from Canada or South Africa. Because I am representing several congregations in South Carolina, I would also like to offer my voice to those of my blog who are not in the area of any known delegates.
Frankly, we are all feeling our way at this point and following the Ruach’s call.

May I hold your email address and as we get a little closer and I have specific questions or topics of discussion, I will converse on specific matters to be discussed at the Congress?

I would also encourage you to get Al McCarn’s book, recently reviewed on the blog, so you have some material to formulate ideas and questions from, to help us better plan and move toward a united nation in waiting.

We all covet your prayers and thank you for taking a stand for Messiah Yeshua and His Torah.

I want to make the same offer to regular readers here in the US and other nations abroad.  Respond to me through my Contact Us page if you are interested in an email or closed discussion group where I can hear from you as we prepare for this Congress.  I want to be able to share ideas and thoughts and to hear your thoughts and ideas.

I would encourage you to get and read Al McCarn’s book, Give Me A Place Where I May Dwell.

I look forward to hearing from each of you and either, connecting you with a delegate from your region/area, or hearing and personally representing your thoughts at the Congress.

Shalom and blessings.

God’s conversation with Adam (and Eve)?

tree of lifeHave you ever wondered exactly how the conversation between God and Adam went down in the Garden of Eden?  Genesis 2:15-17 doesn’t provide many details,

15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. 16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not [n]eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.”

Well, good friend and midrash partner, Messianic Jew Dr. Jonathan Krause, sent me a text a couple days ago that said,

Pete, Just read Deut. 30:15. Boy does it sound a lot like the Garden of Eden scene.

I thought, ‘Hmmm…  let’s have a look…’ Continue reading “God’s conversation with Adam (and Eve)?”

Banner day at the Rambos!! Just Kidding!

WOW!!  I think I’ll just get an apprenticed OB/GYN certificate…  LOL!

2015 kidding nursery (2)School was out today, so we planned ahead to get some work done on the homestead/farm.  We planned to reinsulate the overhead of the new house as parts had little to no insulation, and other parts had settled significantly from when it was blown in years ago.  But, the job that I thought would take three or four hours became an all day affair!

We had five pregnant mamma goats this time last week.  Unfortunately, on Sunday we lost a momma and three babies due to toxemia, but the rest of the week has been one delivery after another.  Today was the culmination with kidding season ending with a bang!

Midday, we had to stop insulating because one of our girls was in labor with some difficulties.  Turned out the first was a little girl coming breach.  In five years this was our first breach delivery.  It was an interesting adventure.  The next two babies came without much event, though we felt like we had won the lottery!  In the 10 sets of triplets we’ve had, this is the first time that we had three girls in a kidding!!

After Malkey delivered and things settled down, we went back to insulating in a mad scramble to finish before sundown and the beginning of Shabbat.

After we had all showered and were getting ready for dinner, Gunnar heard a soft moan from the barn Continue reading “Banner day at the Rambos!! Just Kidding!”

“IT IS MY BROTHERS WHOM I AM SEEKING”

Following is a terrific paper with lots of Scripture detailing the vision of Ephraim from a Hebraic perspective from an author IN the Land.

ranger6I do not yet know exactly where/how Abba is leading in this time, but feel so drawn to take a stand at this point for Ephraim and his return to the Land.  Personally, my attitude of late is almost a swashbuckling swagger in terms of bringing Ephraim back together and taking a stand.  It feels much like my warrior Airborne Ranger days when we suited up to head into the bush for a mission.  My attitude is definitely that of a warrior.

For months I have been getting into shape and am back to military weight and nearly the same physique, though 25 years older than my heyday.  But the attitude has come back.  I am so ready to take a stand…  not in a braggadocios way, but simply a ‘the time is NOW!’ stand.  I know not what lies ahead, but Abba has definitely been awakening the warrior and molding me.  Please pray for wisdom, discernment and patience.  I am ready to hit the trail.  (My Sunday School class got some yesterday…  listen in!)  No prisoners!  The intensity is way up!

This upcoming Congress is so at the center of my scope.  It is the focus of my prayers, action and attitude.  We have a mission…  I can’t explain it, but feel this call.  May Abba lead and guide!!

Here is the article from Etz B’ney Yosef,  ‘The Tree of Joseph.’

“IT IS MY BROTHERS WHOM I AM SEEKING”
The Lost Sheep of the House of Israel are Returning Home
We, the Jewish Nation that lives in Israel, have a surprise coming. Individuals from all
over the world, in growing numbers, are waking up to the possibility that they might
belong to the People of Israel. Are they Jews? Are they descendants of Jews? The
answer is “not necessarily”. How is it, then, that they assume some kind of relatedness to
the People of Israel? Well, these individuals view themselves as belonging to that part of
the Nation of Israel which has assimilated, and supposedly has been lost among the
nations of the world for thousands of years. That, however, will not always be the case… Continue reading ““IT IS MY BROTHERS WHOM I AM SEEKING””

I’m Going To Israel!! (And, you can help!)

I am so incredibly excited right now, I do not know whether to run, jump, dance or…  Doors to a long time dream to spent time in The Land have just opened up!

Here’s the scoop!!

Yes, I have long wanted to visit the Land of our fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but have been content to wait.  Early last Fall I received an invitation to participate in a conference in May 2015, but because we were packing to move with no place to go and because I saw no financial way to participate, I put the invite on the shelf and forgot about it.

A few weeks ago a friend asked me if I have any needs in ministry that they might be able to help out with, and at the time I knew of nothing, so I thanked them and politely declined.  Then a couple days ago, as I read Al McCarn’s new book, I was reminded of the conference and it purpose: It is the First Ephramite/Northern Israel National Congress, details at link. I was prompted to pray and ask if this was something I needed to pursue.  Continue reading “I’m Going To Israel!! (And, you can help!)”

The days of Elijah??

A few months ago a friend sent me a now viral video of a bunch of Marines singing ‘These are the Days of Elijah.’  Again, a dear friend forwarded it to me a couple days ago (thanks, Connie).  Certainly, it is a heart-warming and worshipful video, and I was blessed again.  But I have to wonder…

Do they, or most of Christendom, understand the very words that they are singing?  I dare say not, even as their tongues manifest the move of the Spirit in our day.

Let’s take a brief look at the lyrics and see what this incredible song is actually saying and what they are professing. [My comments interspersed]

“Days Of Elijah”

These are the days of Elijah
Declaring the word of the Lord, yeah
And these are the days of Your servant, Moses
Righteousness being restored

The days of Elijah, the days of Moses…  Malachi 4:4-6 are Continue reading “The days of Elijah??”

DYNAMITE radio interview and discussion!!

Yesterday, I reviewed Al McCarn’s new book, Give Me A Place Where I May Dwell.  This morning I had opportunity to sit and listen to his interview on Hebrew Nation Radio.

In the first hour, not without some technical difficulties, McCarn discussed his journey and how the book came about wherein he asserts the right of Ephraim and proposes a plan of action as the ‘bones of Ezekiel’ begin to come together.  It is a good interview, but the second hour is DYNAMITE!!  HNR’s second guest is a no-show, so the hosts engage in a round table discussion explaining and reviewing the Scriptures concerning Ephraim and the prophesied return and reunification of All Israel.

This second hour will make an excellent primer for those who have no background and are trying to understand why and what we believe according to Scripture reference the destiny of One Body.

I highly recommend this interview, particularly the second half for those trying to understand or learn to articulate the fulness of Scripture.

Heresy Hunting, or Truth Telling?

I love James Pyles, my friend who hosts and writes My Morning Meditations.  I pretty much knew that when I posted my ‘rather provocative challenge‘ that he would show up…  I just didn’t expect to be described, albeit tongue in cheek, as a heresy hunter.  Honestly, I’ve read his blog long enough to know the shoe fits his foot.  But, it is funny, anyway.

His post, however, made me consider several thought trails…

My first thought was, “What would Rav Shaul/Paul have done if he had access to the internet?  Would he have contended for truth on a blog among other medium?  Would all of his blog posts have been cookies and cream, hugs and ‘get along,’ or would he have occasionally brought the hammer?  Isn’t he provocative at points?”

That led to my immediate second thought, “Don’t we have more than just one tool in the tool bag?  Continue reading “Heresy Hunting, or Truth Telling?”

Was Jesus on Mt. Sinai? Part 2

Was Jesus on Mt Sinai?  Does it matter? is one of the most popular and single most shared posts this blog has ever written.  (I recommend the article and recommend sharing it, but that is not the purpose of this short post.)  In the post I articulated and defended from several angles my conviction that Yeshua (Jesus) stood on Mt. Sinai and was/is the Lawgiver with whom Moshe spoke.

Well, if you have been keeping up the last week or so on this blog, you know that I have begun teaching a series at a local Baptist Church demonstrating Yeshua’s presence in the Tanach (OT).  We have begun with the ‘Angel of the Lord’ instances to reveal Him as the physical, visible manifestation of Elohim (God).

Well, today, in the middle of our Shabbat midrash my attention was drawn to chase a rabbi trail that lead to me reading a verse I’ve seen a dozen times…. Continue reading “Was Jesus on Mt. Sinai? Part 2”

The Pope is Illegitimate

By his own admission, and according to Roman Catholic dogma (traditions of men), the current Pope and every Pope in history is illegitimate.  The point is blindingly obvious, and Popes and Chairsmost of you probably already had this figured out, but it just hit me as I was reading Sue Wyatt’s most recent post concerning Acts 15.

Catholic dogma teaches that the Pope is the Vicar of Christ on earth.  Essentially, the Pope claims to be the personal representative and official voice of Christ on the earth.  His/their claim on this distinction stems from their claim of descendancy from Peter the Apostle, their alleged first Pope.

Not that I ever believed the Pope had any legitimacy anyway, while reading Sue’s post, I realized two important points that scream, ‘illegit!’ Continue reading “The Pope is Illegitimate”
