Paths of Righteousness

Here’s a quick thought that I heard while watching Matthew Nolan and Jim Staley teach on Melchizedek.  (Terrific teaching, by the way.)

He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3)

“Paths of righteousness…”   I have always thought of this ‘path’ as leading to a destination, like a trail through the wood, or along a mountainside.  Maybe there is a little more…

The Hebrew word for ‘paths’ used here is H4570
מעגּלה  /  מעגּל
ma‛gâl  /  ma‛gâlâh
BDB Definition:
1) entrenchment, track
1a) circumvallation, entrenchment
1b) track
Part of Speech: noun masculine

The ‘paths’ spoken of here are ‘cycles.’  He leads us in ‘cycles’ of righteousness.  The annual calendar of Yahweh, the feast cycle, is one of the ‘paths’ whereby He works in us righteousness though His appointed times, His moedim.

Fascinating.  Marinate.

Shalom!

How to be LEAST in The Kingdom of Heaven:

Yeshua tells us exactly what we have to do to be LEAST in the Kingdom of Heaven:

“Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be  called LEAST in the Kingdom of Heaven;…”

Without skipping a beat or even drawing a breath, He tells us conversely what we have to do to be great in the kingdom:

“but whoever KEEPS and TEACHES them, he shall be called GREAT in the Kingdom of Heaven.”  (Matthew 5:19)

Nuff said.  Got Torah?

The Tree of Life. Who Gets to Eat?

So, I was pondering again one of those doctrine shattering verses.  Revelation 22:14,

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (KJV)

Admittedly, some manuscripts say, ‘wash their robes,’ but this is pretty clear!  DO the commandments to have full access to the City and to the Tree of Life.  It is also interesting to note that even with the difference in manuscript, the ‘washing of robes’ is equated with ‘doing the commandments.’

Will you have access to the Tree of Life?  Are you doing the commandments?

Got Torah?

More on ‘Follow me Paul.’

We’ve discussed Rav Shaul, the Apostle Paul, several times recently.  Specifically, the question has been, “what was Rav Shaul’s example?”  He did say, ‘Imitate me as I imitate Messiah…’

Well, friend and commenter, hisloammi sent me a list with more ‘do as I do’ examples of Paul from Scripture.

  • Shaul (Paul) observed the Biblical feasts of Israel in accordance to the cycle and calendar of the Holy Temple.  (Acts 20:6)
  • Shaul (Paul) made the vow of a Nazirite in accordance to Torah observance.  (Acts 18:18)

Jesus. False Messiah.

jesus-christ-70Have you ever stopped and pondered the fact that the ‘Jesus’ presented by christendom is really a false Messiah?

This will hopefully be a short post to simply point out some major inconsistencies in order to encourage the reader to deeper study on their own, apart from spoon fed fallacies from some pulpit.  Further, at the end, I will explain why this has monumental significance in YOUR life right now!  Today!

The first and most glaring identifier of a false Messiah is as simple as the name ‘Jesus.’  Some think this is not a ‘big deal,’ but we need to stop and remember we are talking about the King of the Universe.  He is the Lord of all creation and we can’t get His name right?

Let’s get this straight:  There is no letter ‘J’ in the Hebrew language….  Nope, not in Greek either.  Not even in Latin!!!  The letter ‘J’ doesn’t show up until the 1500s or so. Continue reading “Jesus. False Messiah.”

The Christian Mindset Keeps People From Understanding Torah

Excellent interview…  Could easily be my story.  I really enjoy The Health Watchman’s interviews.

One neat/common thread is how many people cry out to God for “TRUTH” and then Continue reading “The Christian Mindset Keeps People From Understanding Torah”

How blessed….

119  How blessed are those whose way is blameless,
Who walk in the Torah of YAHWEH.
How blessed are those who observe His testimonies,
Who seek Him with all their heart.
They also do no unrighteousness;
They walk in His ways.
You have ordained Your precepts,
That we should keep them diligently.
Oh that my ways may be established
To keep Your statutes!
Then I shall not be ashamed
When I look upon all Your commandments.
I shall give thanks to You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.
I shall keep Your statutes;
Do not forsake me utterly!

Got Torah?

Shalom.

STOP building suburbs in Babylon!!

While preparing this week’s lesson for our Shabbat fellowship, I was reading a study by Eddie Chumney and contemplating the sin of harlotry and how we, the people of YHWH, have such a propensity for it.  At the end of his study there is an amazing prayer that just moved me to tears.  It is a simple compilation of Scripture.  I encourage you to read, ponder and even pray this prayer.

[Opening comment] I think it is time to stop building suburbs in Babylon and “come out of her My people”. May we join Daniel, who was on his face praying, while still in Babylon:

“O YHVH righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day–to the men of Judah, to the Inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven us, because of the unfaithfulness which we have committed against You. We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts Continue reading “STOP building suburbs in Babylon!!”

Has God forgotten you?

Hosea 4:6 says,

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.

“Because you have rejected knowledge,  I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the Torah of your God, I also will ignore your children.”

You want God to remember you?  You want His hand on your children?

Simple.  Return to the Torah.

Yeshua (Jesus) the living Torah calls us to walk as He walked in the written Torah.

Shalom.

Another Reason Jesus HAD to Die….

If you are like me, you have heard ten thousand times that Jesus/Yeshua died for our sin, the sin of the world, etc…

But did you know, Scripture teaches that He had to die for another reason?

Me neither.  It never dawned on me, but it is clearly there.

He HAD to die because His covenant bride had played the harlot and His Divine righteousness demanded that He divorce her.  His own law demanded that He could not remarry her except “she be released from the law concerning the husband.”
