R U N the 1%?

If Jesus came into your church, would you recognize Him?  While my guess is completely subjective, I would guess that fewer than 1% would recognize the Messiah, King of Israel, if He walked into your church building.

No, He likely won’t come dressed as a homeless guy, though we should receive the homeless with love and concern.

He won’t be in a long robe and probably won’t have longish hair.  He will have a beard.

In fact, 99% of the images and ideas we have of Him are wrong based on simple reading of Scripture.

You won’t know based on a ‘gut feeling.’  Your emotions will fail you EVERY time.

You MUST be able to tell based on facts that are verifiable.  Scars?  May or may not work…

How then will you KNOW without a shadow of a doubt who He is and that He is the REAL deal?

Scripture tells us exactly Continue reading “R U N the 1%?”

Chewing gum for the brain…

As I have mentioned before, I am reading/enjoying/re-reading J. K. McKee’s The New Testament Validates Torah.  Frankly, this is the single best systematic addressing of Torah for the Messianic.  I believe more and broader scholarly works will emerge as time passes, but it will be hard to top this 400+ page work!  EVERY Messianic believer needs this on their shelf, and any pastor wanting to understand or get a comprehensive look needs to read this book.

Advertisement aside, there are so many terrific quotes on every page.  I want to share three from pages 91-93.  The first two are cites of other authors and the last is his.

Take the time to read and ponder each!  I’ll list the original sources from McKee’s footnotes.

What would we think of a presidential candidate who assured his voters that he would only UPHOLD the requirements and FULFILL the goals of the Constitution and never ABOLISH our country’s customs and laws, yet two years after his election, plunged the country into complete anarchy?  Would this be FULFILLMENT of the Constitution of ABOLITION of the Constitution? Jesus. False Messiah.

jesus-christ-70Have you ever stopped and pondered the fact that the ‘Jesus’ presented by christendom is really a false Messiah?

This will hopefully be a short post to simply point out some major inconsistencies in order to encourage the reader to deeper study on their own, apart from spoon fed fallacies from some pulpit.  Further, at the end, I will explain why this has monumental significance in YOUR life right now!  Today!

The first and most glaring identifier of a false Messiah is as simple as the name ‘Jesus.’  Some think this is not a ‘big deal,’ but we need to stop and remember we are talking about the King of the Universe.  He is the Lord of all creation and we can’t get His name right?

Let’s get this straight:  There is no letter ‘J’ in the Hebrew language….  Nope, not in Greek either.  Not even in Latin!!!  The letter ‘J’ doesn’t show up until the 1500s or so. Continue reading “Jesus. False Messiah.”

Blood moons… Signs in the heavens!

Joel 2:30-32: “I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth,
Blood, fire and columns of smoke.
31 “The sun will be turned into darkness
And the moon into blood
Before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.
32 “And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of Yahweh Will be delivered;
For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
There will be those who escape,
As the Lord has said,
Even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

One of the interesting signs we are given as to the Day of the Lord is ‘the moon into blood.’

It is interesting to note that in 1947 and 1948 there were four blood moons associated with the formation of Israel as a nation.

In 1967 and 1968 there were four blood moons associated with the capture of Jerusalem.

NONE of those blood moons fell on a feast day….

The last time there was a blood moon tetrad was in the 1500s.  After the one below, it won’t happen again for over a 100 years!!

Now, see this:

Notice also, the sun is turned to darkness on ‘new year’s day,’ according to the Hebrew calendar, AND, four blood moons ON Feast Days.  Ask yourself, ‘is it significant that these all happen ON feast days?’  Why does Scripture say the Feasts of YHWH are to be celebrated forever, but the church says they are ‘abrogated/annulled?  Zechariah 14:16-19 says we’ll celebrate some of these in the Millennium….  They are prophetic rehearsals for things yet to come…  And, they are what the Father has connected the Blood moon signs with…

Might be a good time to be paying attention and drawing close to Messiah!!  Read more on this blog to see what He really expects…  What the Roman Catholic Church did away with and what Protestantism, the daughter of Catholicism is still missing…

Shalom!

How many times?? Not 2 or 3, but…

I thought just two, then I saw three…  Now, just now, I saw the fourth!!  What am I talking about?  Check this out:   (All quotes from Revelation)

‘…who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.’

‘…who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.’

‘…they sang the song of Moses, … and the song of the Lamb…’

‘…had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God…’

It just keeps popping up.  Walking Torah and having faith in Yeshua!  See those references for yourself: 12:17; 14:12; 15:3; 20:4!!

Seems pretty important to keep studying this Torah stuff and learning to walk it out!

Shalom!

Beware the Ides of March!!

As I was washing dishes after lunch I was pondering the Conclave at the Vatican and a news article I saw in the last 24 hours about the expectation of a new Pope by Friday….  The phrase, ‘Beware the Ides of March’ popped into my head.

Having learned to pay attention to the gentle whisper, I ran to the calender and was shocked to see Friday as the Ides (15th) of March…  Now, this may mean NOTHING, or it may be an interesting point to add to the prophecy laden days we’ve had in recent weeks….

If the Pope is s/elected on Friday the 15th of March, that would be an interesting omen if indeed he is Petrus Romanus.

Defining ‘Heaven’…

I was ‘raised in the church,’ and had pastored a small congregation for a number of years before I began to have a clear picture of what Scripture has to say about ‘Heaven.’  Even then, I was not entirely correct as recent study is showing me.

This is not an exhaustive or definitive study.  I just want to share some Scripture and a few thoughts.

Until a couple years ago, like most people, I had a very fuzzy, even mystical view of some ethereal blissful place that was beyond description.  Most of that nonsense was cleared up after reading Continue reading “Defining ‘Heaven’…”
