It occurred to me the other day as I was reading some Scripture that even IF the Sabbath was moved to Sunday, and IF Christendom need only keep the Ten Commandments, they are still in continual violation of the fourth! Now, we have proved over and over that these two allowances are patently false, but, for the sake of argument, let’s allow them for a moment.
Christendom claims to keep the 
Sabbath, even if NOT on the seventh day as we are clearly commanded more than seven times. However, despite their claims to the contrary, Christendom breaks the fourth commandment in another highly predictable way…. Notice,
Then the Jews, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath ([a]for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
John gives an interesting detail in this verse. Besides the weekly Sabbaths, there are some Sabbaths that are ‘High’ or ‘Holy’ days. We can find more detail on this in Leviticus 23 where the ‘holy convocations’ and days of ‘complete rest’ are listed as part of the Feasts of the Lord (Yahweh). Examples include,
But for seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall not do any laborious work.Lev. 23:8
On this same day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be a perpetual statute in all your dwelling places throughout your generations. Lev. 23:21
“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a [a]rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord.’” Lev. 23:24-25
“On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble your souls and present an offering by fire to the Lord. 28 You shall not do any work on this same day, for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement on your behalf before the Lord your God….It is to be a sabbath of complete rest to you, and you shall humble your souls; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening you shall keep your sabbath.” Lev. 23:27-28, 32
“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the Lord. 35 On the first day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work of any kind. 36 For seven days you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the Lord; it is an assembly. You shall do no laborious work. Lev. 23:34-36
Here’s the point. Just as in Judaism, Christianity regards the Ten Commandments as a summation of the other commands. The difference is that the Jews understand that even if summed in the Ten Words, all others commands have much more that simple guiding principles. Rather, they are the revealed Words of Yahweh, breathed from His mouth for our instruction, reproof, correction and training in righteousness!
Keeping the fourth commandment encompasses more than just a weekly day of worship (specifically delineated in multiple places as the seventh day), but also includes the other Sabbaths our loving Father gave us as times of refreshing, worship and fellowship!

When I was in the Sunday Church and first wrestled with “Sabbath” I was being asked if I kept the Sabbath. My response was “I keep Sunday Holy” for awhile, until I looked to Genesis to get a definition of a day in general. He clearly teaches that a day starts and ends at “evening” or the time of the setting of the sun. With that knowledge, I began to try and figure out which “day” would work with my Sunday schedule (Sunday School, Church, and evening services). I thought of Saturday evening to Sunday evening, but realized it was all wrong. I remembered in Daniel that one would seek to change dates and times and seasons, and then realized Satan had even changed a day from evening to evening to midnight to midnight. This corruption must be first overcome to see that Sabbath is evening to evening, not a midnight to midnight time frame. If we keep any midnight to midnight period “holy” we never keep “any of His day holy”. The corruption of the calendar and time to a “gregorian midnight to midnight system” is from Satan; and at the focal point of the corruption today.

I don’t know any “Christians” that keep the Sabbath. They do claim that the keep the Sabbath but use some excuses why they can work and do trade commerce and business and industry on God’s set apart day. How is that working out for you?
