Sowing and reaping….

image

I have just started reading Angus Wooten’s Restoring Israel’s Kingdom, a book that promises to deepen my understanding of who I am and what my Father’s business is.

In the comments on the cover credit (artwork of the two sticks being made one, Ez. 37:15ff), I saw a neat paradigm shifting idea: the house of Israel was scattered into the nations for disobedience.  If they were sown as Israelites, what makes us think they’ll be harvested as anything other than Israelites?

In fact, the Scriptures attest, over and over, that God’s intent is to restore the whole house of Israel.  See Acts 1:8; Ez. 37:24ff; Deu. 30; Is. 2:1-5; Eph. 2:12, etc…

If God will harvest Israelites, what might they look like??  Hmmmm…

Prophesying to the Dry Bones…

Shema line 1 Shema line 2

Ez. 37 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out [a]by the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of IMG_20151205_073732866_HDRthe valley; and it was full of bones. He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord [b]God, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, HEAR [shema; שְׁמַע ] the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause [c]breath to enter you that you may come to life. I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

Last Shabbat, I posted a quick note about a global praying of the Shema asked for by a Rabbi on behalf of Judah and the need for the Mashiach to be revealed.  In that post I stated that in addition to being a prayer, Continue reading “Prophesying to the Dry Bones…”

Torah IS life!

tree of life“Torah IS life!!”

You won’t hear that from most pulpits, yet that is exactly the testimony of God breathed everlasting Scripture, contrary to millennia of false doctrine.  Here are a few statements from Yehovah,

Deu. 30:15-16 “See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it.

Deu 32:45-47 When Moses had finished speaking all these words to all Israel, he said to them, “Take to your heart all the words with which I am warning you today, which you shall command your sons to observe carefully, even all the words of this law (torah).  For it is not an idle word for you; indeed it is your life. Christendom is waking up…. And, more.

This last week has been an interesting one as we see prophecy accelerating.  Multiple articles and related visions have been passed along to me, so, here are four ‘must reads’ for you.  I’ll include a note or two with each hotlinked headline.

Mike shared this link from Charisma News:

Holy Spirit Shift: Christians and Jews Reunited After 2,000 Years

Messianic-churchesInteresting article, and while I do not agree with some of the author’s viewpoint (we have refuted bilateral ecclesiology on this blog multiple times and ways), it is clear that more and more people across Christendom are asking the right very hard questions.  Have we inherited traditions from our fathers that have no basis in Scripture?  What was the actual practice of the ‘church’ in Acts?  ect…  A paradigm-shift is in the works.  Buckle your seatbelt!!

Mike also sent this terrific short article with attendant comments:

From Israel Today:

COMMENTARY: Do You Have to be Jewish to be Israel?

It is becoming increasingly clear that Abba is doing something amazing in our day.  The conversation concerning the Hebrew/Jewish roots of Christendom is fast becoming a mainstream topic worthy of honest discussion!!  Buckle up and learn so you can share with others who are awakening to the truth.

Sis Loammi sent this very interesting article with serious implications both physically and spiritually… Continue reading “Christendom is waking up…. And, more.”

How to: Messianic

how toI have been working on a page to add to the top bar titled ‘How to: Messianic.’  It is not yet complete, but I thought it far enough along to unveil for a little feedback.

The idea is a simple overview page that does not complicate, but displays simply the basics for those who may be looking or trying to understand the Messianic/Hebrew roots lifestyle.  I also want it to expose some of the potential pitfalls that new families on this journey sometimes encounter.

Please poke around over there and then leave a note or two here if you see glaring errors of have a thought or two.

Thank you for your help!

Two Types of Watchmen…

Currently, I am reading Christians & Jews, The Two Faces of Israel, by Stephen J. Spykerman.  A broader review of this book will be forthcoming, however, I wanted to share a little nugget from pages 25-28.

51inNowprDL._SX321_BO1,204,203,200_Spykerman points out that there are two types of ‘watchmen.’  Now, like me, you are probably familiar with the watchman who stands upon the walls of Jerusalem and watches, prays, etc.  We would look to Isaiah 62:6-7,

On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; And give Him no rest until He establishes, And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

And, indeed, today there are continual prayer vigils and vocal watchmen concerning Israel and more specifically, Jerusalem.  Interestingly, Spykerman points out another type of watchman that paints a fascinating picture in our time! Continue reading “Two Types of Watchmen…”

Potiphar’s wife and Yeshua…

Several months ago I wrote and posted a series of articles considering the prophetic significance of Joseph’s life as a picture of Messiah Yeshua.  They can be found here:  Jesus / Yeshua as Pictured in Joseph.  Part 1.  Part 2Part 3.

Occasionally, another connection will bubble to the surface and I’ll add it to my list, but joseph_resistrecently I had one interesting enough to make a quick post.

Joseph is sold to Potiphar and becomes the head servant.  Potiphar’s wife decides to use him for her pleasure and he escapes without his clothes/garments.  Reading something else recently, as I thought about this, led led me to wonder if this is a picture of the ‘woman who rides the beast’ stripping Yeshua of His identity when ‘He got to Rome.’

It is interesting to note that the very Hebrew/Jewish Yeshua was converted to a Gentile Jesus in Rome by the stripping of His identity and He was ‘held in prison’ for more than a thousand years.  Then, He began His ascension in the eyes of the nations at/near the time of the Reformation, but His true identity, the Jewish Messiah Yeshua is only now really becoming widely known! R U N the 1%?

If Jesus came into your church, would you recognize Him?  While my guess is completely subjective, I would guess that fewer than 1% would recognize the Messiah, King of Israel, if He walked into your church building.

No, He likely won’t come dressed as a homeless guy, though we should receive the homeless with love and concern.

He won’t be in a long robe and probably won’t have longish hair.  He will have a beard.

In fact, 99% of the images and ideas we have of Him are wrong based on simple reading of Scripture.

You won’t know based on a ‘gut feeling.’  Your emotions will fail you EVERY time.

You MUST be able to tell based on facts that are verifiable.  Scars?  May or may not work…

How then will you KNOW without a shadow of a doubt who He is and that He is the REAL deal?

Scripture tells us exactly Continue reading “R U N the 1%?”

The Apostle Paul was NOT a Christian!

Paul never converted to anything.

Christian mythos teaches that Saul, a rabbi, converted to Christianity.  In fact, that is utter fallacy to support false doctrine/theology.

Here is what my New American Standard Bible says,

The Conversion of Saul

Now [a]Saul, still breathing [b]threats and murder against the conversion of pauldisciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him;… ”

First, that big ‘The Conversion of Saul,’ is inserted by the editors.  It is not inspired Scripture, and the only thing it does is set the reader up with a FALSE premise! Continue reading “The Apostle Paul was NOT a Christian!”

My, the lengths we go to to justify behaving like the world.  Do we understand the damage it does to us and to our children?

Here is an invitation we received…  followed by some thoughts.
