An epiphany re: Revelation 12:1-2…

What if the sign means….

We are hosting Al and Char McCarn this weekend as well as their two daughters, son-in-law and Akpene Torku.  Earlier this week, Al and Char celebrated their 30th anniversary, so the girls surprised them with a very nice brunch this morning.  As we were finishing the mimosas and tasty quiche, the conversation turned to the eclipse.

We read Revelation 12:1-2 together and discussed the coming signs in the heavens when I had an epiphany!!  Here we go:  Three “wandering stars” join the nine in Leo to become twelve and the woman conceives!!  Selah!

Maybe, just maybe, what this sign portents is a major shift in the relationship between the House of Judah and the House of Israel and their respective connections with the King.  The House of Israel (the nine stars in Leo*) has been with Yeshua for 2000 years.  Maybe, just maybe, this is the turning point in His revealing of Himself to the three tribes (Judah, Benjamin and Levi) in the House of Judah making the 12 star garland signifying the coming together and the birth of renewed/restored Israel!!  If this is the proper interpretation, watch for a MAJOR acceleration of restoration as the House of Israel begins to really awaken to Torah and come together while the House of Judah will begin a radical shift in perspective on Yeshua!

*Note: For those doing the math, there are actually 13 tribes named, though only 12 ever listed….  Joseph = Ephraim and Manashe…

Exciting new book: Ten From The Nations

Dr. Rivkah Adler, Ph.D., is about to publish a book that I am very excited about!!

unnamed

For roughly half of the book, each chapter is a testimony from a broad swath of non-Jews telling their story about how they (we) came to Torah.  The balance of the book is Jews who are aware of and facilitating this Torah awakening in a variety of ways.  This important work embraces the breadth of this movement towards Torah by Christians who now self-identify as Noahide,  or Hebrew roots believers as well as converts to Judaism.  Sample chapters are available at the Ten From The Nations website.  I strongly recommend checking out the website and subscribing for updates as we eagerly await this exciting volume!!

Stay tuned for more on this upcoming book!!

Does the coming eclipse portent radical change?

There has been an abundance of media coverage concerning the upcoming eclipse, so I do not want to rehash the blah, blah, blah.  Rather, I would like to share two links I found very interesting and then offer a possible scenario that may currently be unfolding…

In the past I have shared a few things from Dr. Dale Sides, a Christian astronomer, who has a very interesting perspective on things in the heavens.  The following teaching concerning the eclipse is a MUST SEE as he shares a few significant points nobody else is talking about.  After hearing this, I agree with him that the eclipse is meant to point to something else…  namely, the events in the heavens at the point of totality.  Everyone will watch the eclipse, I will be watching the show behind the eclipse when the lights get dimmed…

The second video I would like to share is from an interesting source that studies Continue reading “Does the coming eclipse portent radical change?”

Have you got “Skin in the Game?”

To all of my Messianic and Torah learning/observing/keeping brothers and sisters out there:  It is time for a heart check!!

Are you an exile or a captive?  How do you view yourself?

Do you have “Skin in the Game,” or are you content to wander in this wilderness of exile?

Here is a MUST HEAR wake-up call.  Sit down, listen and then do something!  Get in, or get out, but cut the luke-warm cr… junk out!

Eclipses and Weeping Prophets

The “Great American Eclipse” is a scant two weeks away and I have been pondering it a bit.  This morning, I shot a quick two texts to my good friend and co-author, Al McCarn.

I asked, “Did an eclipse happen over Nineveh just before Jonah arrived?”  and, “Did Jonah arrive on the first day of Elul?”

He answered almost immediately with three links I will share in a minute.

Multiple people have asked my thoughts on this event, so I’d like to share a few thoughts and a few links… Continue reading “Eclipses and Weeping Prophets”

Torah obedience = blessing.

Over and over, Scripture attests that keeping Torah, obeying the everlasting commandments, leads to blessing.  How Christendom ever abandoned the things God calls a “blessing” is a mystery and a tragedy that is theologically indefensible.

May the people of God within the Christian religion have the humble audacity to read Scripture without deminational and doctrinal filters, then act on it.

Praise the Lord ! How blessed is the man who fears the Lord , Who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, And his righteousness endures forever.

Under Construction. Home Fellowships.

Abba is doing amazing things as He awakens His people to the roots of their faith and what it means to walk as Yeshua walked.

We have been doing some remodeling to update and improve the interior of this 80+ year old home.  Still, Shabbat comes and we were hosting this week.  So, Friday afternoon we frantically removed tools, lumber, drywall, etc and

cleaned/vacuumed in anticipation of facilitating fellowship here.

Here are a couple pics from our home Shabbat gathering.  It is not always this big, but we are happy to host whoever He brings and yesterday was an amazing day of fellowship, midrash and worship.

Here we are gathering and getting situated…

Then, worship and dance.  (Yes, we managed to squeeze a dance circle in!!)  Boys seated on the scaffold used to drywall the 10′ ceilings… projector taped to boxes on top of the scaffold aimed at a sheet hastily tacked on the wall…

Notice the biggest blessing in the room??  Teenagers outnumbered adults almost 2:1!!!  Total numbers were about 50 Heebs.

We spent about two hours in worship and discussion of the Torah portion before breaking to eat and the fellowship spilled outside into the cooling evening until about 10 pm when families packed up to head home.

Abba is doing something amazing in our day.  We need only be willing to be used and be bridge builders among His people, facilitating and letting Him guide and direct.

I encourage you out there, find and get in fellowship. Then, as it grows and the Father leads, be willing to facilitate a group.  You do not need special degrees or training.  The Holy Spirit brought you this far…  read, study and let Abba lead!!  Seek peace and unity in all love and humility.  This is where you will find the Father’s blessing!

Answering the Anti-missionaries

In recent weeks I have had several run-ins with anti-missionaries.  While I prefer not having such encounters as only rarely does anything good come of them, when they come to me, I have to respond as clearly and firmly as I can in humility and gentleness.  Because many anti-missionaries are professional deprogrammers, they can be particularly dangerous to have extended conversations with.  So, I’d like to share a few tools to defend yourself, should you or one you know have a similar encounter.  But, before I do, I would like to share a few reasons why denying Yeshua and converting to Judaism is counter-productive toward  reconciliation and damaging to the restoration of the Kingdom.

Because most who know and have relationship with Yeshua were reared in Christianity, most know the seriousness of denying the Messiah.  I’ll not delve into His credentials or the reasons we need to maintain our faith in Him from the perspective of personal salvation.  Rather, we need to take a look at the importance of maintaining our identity for corporate salvation.

The restoration of the Kingdom requires the fulfillment of prophecy.  Any seeming restoration that bypasses prophecy is a false hope and works against the Word of God.  Many, many prophecies can be pointed to that demonstrate the restored Kingdom has two parts that walk together.  Those two parts are spelled out for us in Ezekiel 37:15-23, the stick of Judah and the stick of Joseph. Verse 22 tells us these are two nations or two kingdoms.  Hosea 1:11 confirms this.  Two nations, two kingdoms come together under one head.  Simply, prophecy cannot be fulfilled if Ephraim becomes Judah, nor can it be fulfilled if Judah becomes Ephraim!!  Continue reading “Answering the Anti-missionaries”

Redeeming Yeshua….

Following is a brief article from a dear friend and brother, Tom Lewis.  He is relating a particularly amazing step in the direction of the restoration of all things!

From left, Tammy and Tom Lewis, Ariel Cohen Alloro, Bob Parham

For the last seven or so years, Tom has traveled to Jerusalem three times per year to present himself before YHVH at all of the pilgrim feasts.  On these journeys he has had innumerable Divine appointments and built many relationships with brothers of Judah.  Over the course of this last year, Tom, in obedience to Torah, began seeking to redeem his

firstborn in a Pidyon HaBen ceremony.  While it is a long story, he eventually found a rabbi willing to do it.  More interestingly, this Orthodox Rabbi, Ariel Cohen Alloro,  believes Yeshua is the Messiah and he can prove it many multiple ways.

This rabbi is on a special, even Divinely ordained, mission, but needs our prayers, support and backing.  I have asked Tom to write a guest article explaining a little about Ariel’s quest.  Continue reading “Redeeming Yeshua….”
