My regular readers are familiar with Rabbi Itzhak Shapira and his book, The Return of the Kosher Pig, from a number of posts referring to him in one way or another. Frankly, I love this brother in Messiah and his passion for bring the good news to his people.
In the recent past he has had several really special opportunities for which he has needed to raise funds. It has been a blessing to participate.

Last year, we had a chance to make a History in Paris, France with the revival project and the donation of a Torah scroll to congregation El Beth-El. During this event, sveral Orthodox Jewish Men received Yeshua as their Messiah. Then, earlier this year, we went to Belgium to establish another Messianic Synagogue (first in the country) to make history. Here are some highlights of our previous outreaches:

On December this year, we have been given the opportunity to make yet another history together in another area in Europe in the heart of the Jewish community in Italy!

By the Mercy of G-D we have given the opportunity to plant and etablish another Messianic Synagogue and to Donate a Torah scroll to the very FIRST Messianic synagogue in the Rome area. On December 5-8 I will be heading to Rome to a major revival and training event (among Jews and the nations) as we establish a Messianic synagogue and Donate a Torah. We are in dire need of roughly $4500 for the Torah and expenses. I will be teaching for four days exclusively for Italian speakers.

On another note, Shapira is still raising the $100,000 necessary to translate his book into several foreign languages. It will be a useful tool in leading Jews to the Messiah through traditional rabbinic sources… Zohar, Talmud, etc., in addition to detailed exegesis of Scripture passages as we’ve reviewed before.

Pete, at one time he was adamently anti two house, as are most Messianic Jews. Is that still his stance? Just wondering…

I think he has softened considerably. Regardless, I support what he is doing and trust our King will open eyes and heal divides. 😉
