Following is a MUST SEE video by Rabbi Ari Abramowitz.
While we were in Jerusalem during Sukkot 5777, Ari posted an amazing video on his Facebook page from the Parade of Nations which we participated in. I included it in a post from Jerusalem.
Well, a week or two later, Ari was back in the US on a speaking tour and offered an amazing presentation to El Shaddai Congregation in Seattle Washington. I highly recommend taking the time to watch his whole talk. Our Father is doing AMAZING tings in our day and the bridge is being built that will bring the sticks together!! Please listen very carefully to what he is saying and what he is not saying….
I woke this morning to an email from friend, Hanoch Young, announcing a terrific new article in Breaking Israel News by Dr. Rivkah Lambert Adler. Guys, you have GOT to go read this article that pulls together some neat pieces and people.
Recently, I posted the Ari Abramowitz radio program about Torah keeping non-Jews and have written before about friends in Jordan, with at least one dear couple from that community as personal close friends. Here, the several pieces come together, but most exciting is that this article portents an increasing speed of recognition and visibility for the global non-Jewish Torah keeping community. Just as we saw in yesterday’s post about Scott Hillman’s denominational leaders being willing to take a closer look, here we have Jews taking a closer look…
Folks, the ‘tectonic shift,’ is underway! The article is from a decidedly Jewish perspective, but Parham makes a solid and true statement that Yeshua is our Messiah and that is non-negotiable!! Check this out!!
As if the last few months haven’t been busy enough, we have begun the process of planning a return trip to Israel. Along with friends, we have booked plane reservations and have rented a house just outside Jerusalem for Sukkot and will stay in Israel for the Second Bney Yosef Congress.
When we returned from our first trip last May, our boys met us at the door and said we could not go back without taking them. As it stands, it looks like we are taking most of them with us this Fall, so now we begin to figure out what we want to see, where we all want to go and what events in the Old City that we want to attend.
At the top of our list is participating in the Parade of Nations in Jerusalem. What makes this special event so exciting to look forward to is that dozens of friends will be there! I. CAN’T. WAIT!
We will be Continue reading “Preparing to Return to Israel!”
Early this morning I was greeted by this email from Ephraim and Rimona Frank, of Israel. Parts of it really resonated with me and I immediately wanted to share it, but I had to head to work.
Ephraim makes (or echoes) three very important points that we all need to take to heart:
- A divided Kingdom cannot stand
- A uniting Kingdom will be intentional to that end
- Justice, mercy and compassion must be central in our efforts
I would be so direct with my readers to ask, ‘what specific steps are you taking to build community and foster unity within the Body of Messiah and with our brother Judah?’
Make today count!
Shalom Fellow Israelite,
Last night when we met at Kibbutz Merchavia in the Jezreel Valley with Craig and Jan O’dell and others from the Gates to Zion congregation to celebrate the coming 9th month. Craig shared with us a scripture from Zechariah that was actually uttered on the 9th month. We all really felt the impact of the Spirit telling us that it is a word for today’s redeemed body of Yeshua, especially as we move toward the restoration of our national identity. “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand” (Mark 3:24-25). I might add a nation divided against itself also will not stand.
“Now in the fourth year of King Darius it came to pass that the word of YHVH of the Armies came to Zechariah, on the fourth day of the ninth month, Chislev… “Thus says YHVH of the Armies: ‘Execute true justice, show mercy and compassion everyone to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart against his brother’” (Zechariah 7:1; 9-10).
Tragically our ancestors refused to heed, shrugged their shoulders, and stopped their ears so that they could not hear. “Yes, they made their hearts like flint, refusing to hear the Torah and the words which YHVH of the Armies had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. Thus great wrath/anger came from YHVH of the Armies” (Zechariah 7:11-12). We know that this behavior displayed by our ancestry can and does get passed along in the generations, unless there is some serious repentance and heeding in obedience to these words from the prophets. Biblical prophecy is happening so fast in our day that it takes one’s breath away! Things are happening that even a year ago seemed impossible!
Yesterday morning someone forwarded a news article to me that seemed almost impossible a couple short months ago. Scripture prophesies the restoration of the House of Israel and the return to the land of the lost tribes, yet seemingly the whole world, from the Jews themselves to all of Christendom have stood against this future reality in one way or another. Then, I read,
The government announced the formation of a special committee to investigate the relationship between the state and gentiles, many of Jewish descent, who have shown an interest in Israel and the Jewish people.
In an advertisement that ran in several local newspapers, including The Jerusalem Post, the Diaspora Affairs Ministry described the exploratory committee and issued a call for public proposals regarding relations between Israel and “large groups around the world that have an interest in the Jewish people even if they are not entitled to rights under the Law of Return.”
