Musing: The angst inducing chains of tradition…

Lately, I have been pondering the chains of tradition and why they cause us such angst when we make a break from the accepted warped norms.  I recall the first six months of our transition to Torah and remember multiple times, waking in a cold sweat and running to the kitchen table where my books were often laid out to be reassured once again that the Scriptures indeed say the Torah is forever and THE way of life.  The Christian traditions of my fathers and the doctrines I learned in seminary and then parroted from the pulpit had indeed become chains upon my soul.

Now, don’t misjudge what I just said, because Christendom contains much, MUCH, truth, but mixed with that truth are pillar doctrines that are demonstrably false.  The angst comes when we finally know, undeniably, that the pillar is wrong, yet we want to still cling to it even though we know we must remove it.   Let me give you a practical example, then a real life theological example.

Tearing down walls…

Over the summer my school schedule lightened a bit, so I decided to do a little remodeling in the house.  Central to the remodeling was the decision to open up the pantry/kitchen/living room area.  To do so, I needed to remove two load bearing walls, something I have never done before.

I thought about the process for weeks.  I would look at the walls, tap on them, picture how to do it. Continue reading “Musing: The angst inducing chains of tradition…”

A truth Chistendom MUST consider.

The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they transgressed laws, violated statutes, broke the everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men are left.

THE Sukkot T-shirt!!! Get one before they are gone!!

Order MUST be placed by Aug 31st, 2017!!  Click here for detailed image!

Feast your eyes on one of the coolest Sukkot T’s I have seen.  And, it is not fellowship or site specific.  You need to get one to wear around your ‘messi-curious’ friends and family!

Available in a rainbow of colors at just $8, this is the BOMB!!

Here is what I received via email from my good friend, Steve King:

Sukkot T-shirts!  Sukkot is approaching again and we are so excited! Along with deciding where you will be celebrating the feast, it is also time to order your 2017 Sukkot T-shirts. The design is not specific to any location, so they can be worn wherever you decide to go. As you know, we have been producing these T-shirts for years, but this year’s T-shirt is really exciting! There has been a progression in theme since I took it over two years ago. You may not be aware of this, so let me recap the previous years: Two years ago it was establishing His Sukkot with a tent and all His people gathered together, dwelling in unity. Last year it was establishing that His people are those who are called by His Name. This year it is about the two sticks being reunited and gathering His people from the four corners of the Earth. I hope you will be blessed with many opportunities to share with others what the design means.
When ordering this year you will have the option of having the T-shirts sent directly to you or, if you still prefer, you can also pick them up from me to save on shipping cost. When you click on the link below it will take you directly to the 2017 Sukkot T-shirt order form. Click on the T-shirt and it will allow you to make your color and size selections. REMEMBER: 2XL and 3XL will have an additional charge of $2.00. At the end of the process it will add your tax. If you prefer to have it shipped to your address it will add that charge as well. I pray this new way of ordering is more convenient. If you know of someone who doesn’t use a computer but would like to have a T-shirt, please offer to order for them.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY: AUGUST 31 ST , 2017.

You do have permission to send this link out of state to any of your friends and family. I know last year we had orders  from Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida! That was really exciting! My prayer is that there will be an outpouring of people wanting T-shirts to share with others about Our Father’s appointed feasts.

The “perfect” Torah…

The Torah has never been done away with or even diminished.  It stands in perfect fullness today as the revealed path of righteousness that preceeded Creation.  Selah.

The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

An epiphany re: Revelation 12:1-2…

What if the sign means….

We are hosting Al and Char McCarn this weekend as well as their two daughters, son-in-law and Akpene Torku.  Earlier this week, Al and Char celebrated their 30th anniversary, so the girls surprised them with a very nice brunch this morning.  As we were finishing the mimosas and tasty quiche, the conversation turned to the eclipse.

We read Revelation 12:1-2 together and discussed the coming signs in the heavens when I had an epiphany!!  Here we go:  Three “wandering stars” join the nine in Leo to become twelve and the woman conceives!!  Selah!

Maybe, just maybe, what this sign portents is a major shift in the relationship between the House of Judah and the House of Israel and their respective connections with the King.  The House of Israel (the nine stars in Leo*) has been with Yeshua for 2000 years.  Maybe, just maybe, this is the turning point in His revealing of Himself to the three tribes (Judah, Benjamin and Levi) in the House of Judah making the 12 star garland signifying the coming together and the birth of renewed/restored Israel!!  If this is the proper interpretation, watch for a MAJOR acceleration of restoration as the House of Israel begins to really awaken to Torah and come together while the House of Judah will begin a radical shift in perspective on Yeshua!

*Note: For those doing the math, there are actually 13 tribes named, though only 12 ever listed….  Joseph = Ephraim and Manashe…
