Until yesterday morning, I’m not sure I would have connected the terms ‘Marxist’ and ‘Feminism,’ but I’ll never make that mistake again!!
Thanks to a GREAT recommendation by The Transformed Wife, I heard Eric Conn’s Hard Men Podcast titled ‘Against Complementarianism.’ This may be the best investment of 39 minutes I have made in the last year!
Eric had my attention from the very beginning when he mentioned, negatively, John Piper and Wayne Grudem’s Recovering Biblical Manhood & Womanhood, A Response to Evangelical Feminism. I began reading the book a year or two ago as part of my study of Biblical manhood, but I never could quite connect with their position. Something was inherently wrong, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
This blog as well as previous article published on natsab.com has intentionally explored the foundation of Biblical culture and society as a means of understanding what it takes to restore kol Israel. That foundation is man and his family. Essentially, man must be doing what God created him to do and lead his woman in what God created her to do. Together, with him leading, they are to build a family, the basic building block of culture and society. Fruitfulness and dominion begin at home, but extend outward through the warrior head and his base.
Church has largely paid lip service to this truth with the best voices coming, not from the pulpit, but from the wilderness… voices like The Transformed Wife, the #tradwife movement, and blogs/podcasts such as Eric Conn. But, I digress.
Not until I heard Eric expose Piper and Grudem’s position of ‘complementarianism’ as simply soft feminism, did I understand why their book was so unpalatable. He demonstrated that Piper and Grudem held man responsible, but withheld his authority in all areas beyond the pulpit and the home. But, Eric went a step further. He demonstrated that feminism is a tool of Marxism!!
BOOM! I was wide awake.
The enemy of our souls is a wily one, and this was a camel nose under the tent that I had not recognized! At least not in this definition or terminology.
Some time back, I posted James Wesley Stivers’ article, Feminism, Witchcraft and Monogamy. Eric’s podcast was a confirming voice from a different angle! Feminism, as an unbiblical lie from the enemy, is Marxist! Wow!! I had never considered this angle, but it immediately rings true in its overturning of authority structures and attempt at equalizing everything, contrary to God ordained roles and responsibilities. (A simple search for ‘Marxist feminism’ turns up a whole slew of links revealing the intentional marrying/connection of the two concepts!)
I will definitely be listening to this podcast again to glean more insight on the Marxist angle, the very ugly underbelly of the so called ‘evangelical egalitarian movement.’ Further, I am looking forward to his follow up podcasts as he promised this was only an introduction.
The second part of Conn’s podcast that I really appreciated was his calling out of the plethora of weak men in the Church and in culture. His blog goes even further, if you dare breathe the rare air of real masculinity.
He articulates many things I have been trying to say with regard to patriarchy and the need for real men to stand up in the messianic and Hebrew roots movement. Kol Israel will not be restored on the shoulders of men more concerned with public relations, offending one sector or another, or raising the ire of women. It just won’t. Political correctness, even dressed on Torah, is repugnant to the Living Elohim! The authors of 113Restoration have said it hundreds of times in hundreds of ways, “Biblical Patriarchy must be restored.” It begins with MEN!
No restored patriarchy = no restored house of Jacob.
There will be no feminism, egalitarianism, or even complementarianism. There will be righteous men leading families that coalesce into clans and tribes! No soy latte sipping, skinny jeans wearing, overgrown boys, nor weak and whiny women.
I am looking forward to hearing Conn develop his thoughts on ‘warrior women’ who fight for their families and support their patriarchal head! This takes spine, heart, strength beyond muscles, and righteous zeal! While Conn is not Messianic or Hebrew roots, he understands that taking a Kingdom requires warriors!

11:3 Restoration 
Do you “have a woman” in your life Pete? If so, where are you “leading” her? And how do you know “God” said for you to be that leader?
You have a simple way of understanding Marxism and Feminism, which aren’t the same thing. A feminist can be a marxist. A marxist can be a feminist. But they aren’t the same thing. Just like a christian can be a feminist or a feminist can be a christian. Feminism is not incompatible with other isms. To generalize feminism is to fear information. Perhaps it’s simply easier for you to fear information and only listen to what makes you feel comfortable? Jesus isn’t telling you to make women inferior. His closest confidants were all women. He did not fear whores, but rather slept with them and defended them. The gnostic gospels, the lost scrolls are about the women who held power… Perhaps, ask why men wanted to throw them out, instead of asking what is wrong with feminism.

Not only do I have a woman, but am happily married after 28 years, have four sons and am training them and my congregation in the Biblical principles of patriarchy and headship.
And, yes, feminism is not monolithic, but it all flows from the same poisoned spring: ‘hath God said.’
As to the gnostic gospels… well, the reason they aren’t cannonized has nothing to do with ‘men throwing them out,’ rather it has everything to do with the falsehood they contain. The foundation is Torah and Yeshua/Jesus walked and kept Torah. He was not a fornicator. He valued women, but did not elevate a single one to disciple or apostle. In fact, no woman in the entirety of Scripture functioned as priest or teacher of the Law.
Feel free to poke around both of my blogs and absorb solid Biblical truth. It may confirm your worst fear, but will also show the light of the Kingdom and the Rule by which it will exist.

Hi Pete, thanks for replying. If you are happily married and at peace with your faith, why are you festering? What’s got you riled up? You got a woman willing to follow you. You have boys who call you the king of the house. Why do you care about what feminists are doing, honey?
Your testimony about what happened to the gnostic gospel is in fact false testimony, but I forgive U your fear. You know not what U do.

to be clear Pete, thanks for your welcome and your forum. But also, why does the separation of Church and State bother you? Why does feminism bother you? May I send you some information that maybe expands your understanding of feminism? I don’t want to convert you, I just think you don’t know what it is. It’s not a movement or a collective. It’s an evolution, yes, but there are many women of faith as well as secular platforms who are feminists. The one thing they have in common is equity. Do you believe women should not have equity and be in control over their own lives? Do you believe women are children that should obey fathers and husbands?
If so… I guess we are at an impasse. And you are not open to discussion. That’s okay if you are limited. I wish you well.

Like Pete, I am happily married with my first wife for 22+ years now with three sons. Like Pete, I don’t have daughters.
Let’s unpack these sentences you wrote: “Jesus isn’t telling you to make women inferior. His closest confidants were all women. He did not fear whores, but rather slept with them and defended them.”
First sentence: correct.
Second sentence: He was indeed close to Mary and Martha, sisters of Lazarus. He did appear to Mary first after his resurrection. But His transfiguration was beheld by Peter, James and John, the innermost of his twelve apostles. The apostles were all male. All of the books of the NT were written by men.
Third sentence: why would the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and Adam and Eve ever fear any man or woman? He did not sleep with any woman. He defended the woman who was caught in adultery because the men bringing the charges were themselves violating the law: they had not brought the man who was in bed with her. If they had, and the two offenders were clearly identified by witnesses as being in violation, the man and woman would have been stoned to death.

We believe that young, unmarried girls who live with their father should indeed obey their fathers. That’s in the Ten Commandments “Honor your father and your mother”. Did you notice that part about honoring your mother? What, is God a feminist? But then the reality of a father’s and husband’s authority is established in Numbers 30:3-8. Take note that divorced and widows stand on their own like a man in Numbers 30:9. Then if YHVH didn’t think verses 3-8 was clear enough, He took another whack at it in verses 10-16 about the husband’s authority over the wife.
Then, Paul had to go and make things really explicit in Titus 2:5 “being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored” (NASB). The KJV renders it more strongly “obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”
I don’t know about you, but none of the writers here desire to blaspheme the word of God. And you know who the Word of God is? Jesus Christ
