Recently, a friend in our fellowship loaned me a neat documentary titled, Unlocking the Mystery of Life. The premise is a conversation with leading scientists who, as adherents to the Theory of Evolution, began to find alternate truth in their research. Each relates parts of their journey from ‘evolutionist’ to a belief they collectively refer to as ‘intelligent design.’
The information presented in the video, as well as the excellent animation of molecular structures, etc, is fascinating, both as a general overview of the strong case for intelligent design and as an example of how new/deeper understanding can lead to a paradigm shift. Through the documentary we meet established, published and well respected scientists, some the world leaders in their field, who came to a point when they realized that the evidence they were seeing did not fit the evolutionary paradigm they were inculcated/indoctrinated with. They had a choice… Ignore the evidence they were seeing, or, pursue the evidence to see where it would lead, even though contrary to everything they had been taught and accepted as truth.
Pursuit of the evidence invariably led each to a point of decision wherein they had to be willing to sacrifice reputation, position, income or other seemingly valuable advantage and set aside the accepted norm of the Theory of Evolution in favor of a new paradigm. No doubt, there are many who pursue the evidence, but turn back at the point of personal sacrifice. Each of these men in the docummentary is to be commended for making the right, albeit harder, choice.
Pondering the video in the days after watching, I began to see an interesting parallel played out for those of us across the planet who, by a seeming move of the Holy Spirit, are collectively questioning some of the long ‘established’ tenets of Christianity. In doing so, as this blog reveals over and over, there are many doctrines that we find do not line up with Scripture. Like those scientist, we find that there is a point at which we have to make a decision. We can continue to follow the evidence, being willing to pay the price, or, turn a blind eye to what the Spirit is showing us and parrot the established doctrines.
Frankly, I am very thankful for scientists like Michael Behe, Dean H. Kenyon, and Stephen C. Meyer, among others who were willing to risk it all in an honest search for truth over protecting the established doctrines of science. Others can more easily follow in their steps having seen the ‘intelligent(ly) design(ed)’ trail blazed and observed that the paradigm shift is not only reasonable, but truth!
In like manner, I am incredibly thankful for men of faith who recognized holes in accepted Christian theology and began to dig, instead of ignore the questions. Men like Brad Scott, Eddie Chumney, Rico Cortes, Bill Cloud and Monte Judah have helped to blaze a trail that we can benefit from. There are many others, some named in my Resources page, who provide solid teaching that not only exposes errors in historic Christian teaching/theology, but challenge us to restore the origins of the faith in/of Messiah as revealed in the Book of Acts and according to the context of the First Century.
Pursuing it, though, demands that we be willing to make some sacrifices and shift paradigms. In the end, truth is worth more…

TRUTH. How did we ever miss it? We have indeed ‘parroted’ what we heard and have been demanded to obey. Let us wake up Brethren before it is too late. Let us not twist what Y’shua (and Paul) have said.
These men (scientists) counted the cost. Let’s do the same. It may cost family, friends, finances. Are we willing????

The truth.

I am going to tell you a secret.
Why Love is the ultimate power, the power that in the end will be there to save you and to keep you on the path.
For when reality sinks in, when awakened, the world getts darker, evil is mutch more easy to see, lies and foregys sticks out as beacons of manure, they even smell, despite its in digital code.
The violence, inocents been slayde, in maners I couldnt imagine, the hate against eatch others no matter what, is growing everywhere.
All this hammers you relentlessly, to stear your self to all this visuale rapes and images, inst easy, belive me, things will only become more and more transparent.
I can ashure you, you will be hammered, and hammered hard.
You have all my sympathy, anyone that awkens to this path.
The awakening dont come without a price, this is the reality, the life ater an enlightenment is mutch tuffer mentaly, thats why some of us stress the inner idaloge must be controlled at a higher level than many think is neceserry, but if not controlled, we sucumb to anything, like greed.
The pressure is formidable.
Its this path, they often use Militray chargong, not to imply force/war/violence, but to the fact that onc you start to thred on this path, the war starts inside you, this war is a batle of your life, and wil last as long as we/you live.
As the old Zen saying goes.
Before enlightenment, carry water, chopp wood.
After enlighnenment, carry water, chopp wood.
Love life, thread lightly and respect everything.
Remeber this, you reap what you saw, it goes both ways.
